i love how the live preview option was so easy to use and accurate. stabilizer is great. one of the best camera apps in the app store.

I find the controls confusing and not at all intuitive.

First, let me preface by saying I AM a real person - not a shill, not someone paid for my positive opinion. In fact, Id only write a review if something was exceptional - good OR bad. Im very happy to say this app - CamXtra IS a definitely GOOD app. Let me also say I got this app free yesterday, and Im guessing the makers of it are trying to get people 2 just try it, as they are entering the sales market. Im not a professional photographer, nor do I take a snap of everything I do. I just wanted an app which gives me flexibility, rather than being constrained as the iOS camera does. I was hesitant about getting this (even though, as I said, it was free), because i really dont like having a gazillion apps - all of which do the same thing, and, in very pleasantly surprised to find CamXtra DOES exactly what it says it will - allowing the user to have total control over their picture taking. The settings go into such detail, allowing one to adjust the following: • Exposure • Contrast • Fade • Hue • Grain • Saturation • Vignette • Sharpness One also has many options with (about 7-8) lenses, such as fish-eye, as an example. In the mono colors section, you can also work with just a single (or two) colours, and in color effects youll find a bunch of presets which can make the choices simpler, if needed. Within these parameters, the user has a VERY wide selection, and for someone like me - who isnt posting for others (or even if you are), but, rather for the fun of experimenting with images, CamXtra really cant be beat. Its a photographers app - for pros or amateurs.

However I cannot get the video function to work. I have tried deleting and re installing but it still doesnt work. I tried to contact developer and it goes to a website but the is no contact button. Too bad as I said it has a very nice zoom feature.

Does not work on my iPad 4 w ios9

I’m a savvy manual control user, I have bought and tried all manual camera apps, if you are looking to really use manual control this is the app to use, I believe some people just want to have some apps and they don’t really use them, wether you use it or not this is the one I’m going to use, HDR with more options and colour effects are great , shadow adjustment is really how it meant to be.

No wonder it was free on Appaday! Just a real POS!

It appears that this app is not designed with an iPad in mind. The image presented is in the vertical orientation as if you were using an iPhone, but the image is displayed in the horizontal. It acts as if an iPhone has its screen locked, and then rotated. Very strange bug. I havent tried any of the features yet, because I dont want to work in this strange mode.

Still broken and unusable, even after recent update.

so many detail options when editing photos and videos, with a lot of photography features and video recording like pause and combining videos. it also works great on my iPad and I got no problem

Everything I tried to do was going to cost extra. The app is nothing but spam.

The app looks promising. Decent features. BUT...what looks like video camera option does not activate when pressed. Does this app even take video or does it cost CamEXTRA...? Update: I found the video feature by accidentally swiping my fingers across the screen. Makes for poor UX ...

It has every thing manual controls with ease of use, HDR with many options, video recording with pause and applying effects and so many more which I don’t remember but I’ll update my review again .
